CELLOGAYAGEUM is a duo that first captivated public attention through their appearance on JTBC's Superband 2. Formed in Berlin, Germany, the duo brings together Austrian cellist Sol Daniel Kim and Korean gayageum player Dayoung Yoon. Blending the rich depth of Western classical cello with the distinctive timbre and repertoire of Korean traditional music, CELLOGAYAGEUM creates a unique harmony of East and West. Their music transcends cultural and stylistic boundaries, offering both artistic sophistication and broad appeal. In March 2025, CELLOGAYAGEUM is set to expand their global reach through a contract with the New York headquarters of IMG Artists, a world-renowned performing arts agency. This marks a significant step in their international career, signaling even more ambitious and diverse global activities ahead.

CELLOGAYAGEUM <2.0> is the harmonious fusion of East and West, crafted over eight years by two artists who have deeply immersed themselves in each other’s sound. They reinterpret diverse genres—including jazz, modern rock, and classical—through the unique language of cello and gayageum. Their music aspires to become a genre of its own, capturing the sense of novelty and joy born from the meeting of differences and the creative process itself.
