64KSANA
64ksana is an alternative electronic music band rooted in techno, percussion, vocals, and Gut music—a genre inspired by Korean shamanic traditions. Drawing on the spirit and philosophy of these traditional rituals, they reinterpret them for the contemporary age. Through the fusion of electronic and shamanic music, 64ksana crafts a transcendent musical space that liberates listeners from the constraints of reality. Employing audiovisual media and multisensory performance techniques, their shows fully engage the audience’s senses—inviting them to be present in the moment. The liberating experience evoked by 64ksana’s music is nothing short of a modernday Gut.
Edge of Sacred
Edge of Sacred is a musical performance by 64ksana that reinterprets traditional Korean shamanic rituals through a contemporary lens. It evokes the symbolism and energy of Gunmun Yeollim—the ritualistic opening of the ceremonial gate that signals the beginning of a gut (shamanic rite). Fusing traditional Korean percussion, electronic music, and shamanic elements, their sound opens the gates of ritual, shaking suppressed senses and emotions to create a space of liberation. Audiences encounter a moment where the boundary between everyday life and the extraordinary blurs, immersed in the performers’ movements and the collision of complex rhythms. Edge of Sacred is a modern Gut —an experience of awakening and new sensation here and now.
