Namwon National Gugak Center visits 2023 Jeonju International Sori festival with its new dance drama for children, <The Moon in Ganggang Forest> produced in commemoration of 30th anniversary of the center’s establishment. In the story, the moon who fell to “Ganggang forest” while playing hide-and-seek with stars tries to return to the sky with the support of animal friends. The performance includes interesting contents based on ganggangsulae dance including namsaengi nori (play of mimicking a turtle), gathering gosari (bracken), tying strings of cheongeo (herring), chulgi, etc. The performance will offer an opportunity especially for children to have an interest in traditional dance and music.
