Performance presentation
The 1st Section: Taiwan Focus (Taiwan)
Imagination Meets Reality

Wang Ying-chieh, an excellent Taiwanese erhu musician, explores modern music widely and sincerely while playing the erhu, which gives audience members a sense of folklore. The Taiwan Focus is an active project group that plays with the members of Yunshuychi Ensemble and led by Wang Ying-chieh, an excellent Taiwanese erhu musician, its music director. Let’s hope that the old stories, written by people who were writing history even before the name Taiwan appeared in modern history books, will be revived and modernized.

Second Section: Trio Reijseger Fraanje Sylla (Netherlands, Senegal)
A Perfect Harmony of jazz, classical, and African music

The second section consists of three master artists: Ernst Reijseger is one of the leading artists of the European avant-garde history with jazz and impromptu music style in the 1980s and 90s; Harmen Frananje is mentioned as one of the leading jazz musicians in the Netherlands; and Mola Sylla is Senegalese, plays traditional African instruments, and is good at oral performances.
A primitive and unfamiliar new world music led by these three master artists.
